Get A Voice Program
Launches at Gardiners
March 12, 2008

Gardiners Avenue School recently launched the Get A Voice Program,
an anti-bullying program/philosophy. At a magnificent kick off
assembly, MacArthur High School students from band, cheerleading,
and sports teams participated in skits and entertainment. Gardiners
Avenue students enjoyed other special visitors- Sponge Bob Square
Pants and Pressley, the Long Island Press' mascot!
Gardiners Avenue staff and students had the opportunity to take
the Get A Voice Pledge: "I promise to be more aware of the words
I use that can be hurtful or disrespectful, even when I'm just
kidding and I promise to do my best to stand up and say something
in a kind way when I hear disrespectful or hurtful language." Gardiners
Avenue School is proud to Get A Voice! |
