On March 28th, SLI and the Get.A.Voice Project hosted the Language of Leadership Conference at Adelphi University for 150 middle school students, counselors, coaches, teachers and administrators.  School teams, comprised of 8 students and 4 faculty/staff members from 12 Long Island middle schools, participated in a conference intended to examine the power of language in our social culture and the impact of media and sport on peer interactions. ...more
